Northbeam’s close used to take three days. It now takes an afternoon — but the interesting part is what we chose not to automate.

01 — Split the close into jobs

We broke the close into matching, chasing and reporting. Each became its own small agent with its own spec sheet and test suite.

02 — Keep the signature human

Every posting is prepared by an agent and approved by a controller. Nothing reaches the ledger without a name next to it.

03 — Measure the boring parts

98.7% of lines now match automatically. The remaining 1.3% arrive with a written reason, so the review is fast instead of forensic.
